Venturi Grief !
I had a 4" venturi trying to run a DG & AH, My suction gage would only register 3.8" at best at cruse (112 IAS) ,the DG is useless at low air speeds and the AH unreliable. I did not have a suction regulator.So I got me a 9" venturi and a suction regulator,installed them and could only get 2.4" opening the regulator to full suction.I removing the regulator, the venturi would only pull 3.9" at cruse. Verified the venturi was in fact 9" and no other regulators or restrictors on the system.
