King 89B VS 90B

King 89B VS 90B

What are the differences between these two units? Pros and cons?
I want to upgrade to a IFR GPS, I know the 430 is the greatest thing since sliced bread and blah blah. I just need some info in these two.
Local avionics shop has an 89B (with all the extras, annunc. ind ect) that I can get installed now but he says that there will be a 90B (same deal, all the extras to make it ready to go) comming available soon.  Any strong reason I should hold out for the 90B?

One of the features of the 90B is that it uses a CRT.

Bryan,

I have a KLN 90B and a MD 41 annuciator panel that I pulled out of my C 310R.  I replaced it with a GNS 430 and I am much happier.  But it was lots more money and I needed a new COM anyway.  Well I still have the KLN 90B, MD 41, all the manuals, and the quick reference card.  If you are still looking, I could probably make you a pretty good deal.  Give me an email if you are interested.

I am still interested in seeing someones opinion who has used both of these units. I purchased the KLN-89B because it matched my King stack. The 90B I understand may have GPSS to engage intercept mode of IFR airways when using an autopilot, and the 89 does not. Any other differences?
