I just finished this same exercise.
After $600 I was told that it wasn't worth repairing.
I finished up buying another one which ended up quite a chore as it didn't fit the old tray - we had to rearrange the entire stack.

Yours fits in a standard guage hole - not a tray? I haven't seen that before.

My advice?  You need a tech who will aree to give you a no cost quote (so that you don'e end up paying to not fix it as I did - in fact mine went in faulty and came back totally wrecked )

I have since been told that the best deal in terms of a high quality fix is to remove the entire system and return in to the original manufacturer - apparently they will often upgrade it rather than repair it for the same price.
