Century 1 auto pilot
Century 1 auto pilot
Hello ;
I have a '69 Bonanza with a Century 1 in it. The unit is disconnected at the servo and the log book shows that the turn co-ordinator was rebuilt less than 200 hours ago.
I wonder if it is worthwhile getting the servo looked at and getting the unit operational. I'm a VFR pilot, but it would be nice to have a basic autopilot for the long trips.
Re: Century 1 auto pilot
I have a century 1 autopilot that needs some repair. I just quit and before it stopped, it was very poor in reacting to the gyro..keeping wings level. I suppose it needs a rebuild. Any suggestions as to who can do the job without paying for a new autopilot?
Thanks!
Re: Century 1 auto pilot
I am in the process of buying a used Cessna Navomatic autopilot that came out of a 1969 Cardinal. I own a 1968 Cardinal. Does anyone know if this unit would be on my aircraft's original equipment list, thus only requiring a 337 to install? My logs are with my plane which is in Florida. I am away for a month in Maine.
This unit comes with the Directional Gyro, Turn coordinator, servo, amp, cables, bracketts and harness. It will hold a specific heading or track a GPS course or a VOR radia. It does not have alitutde hold.
Also, I am seeking an installation manual for this unit and a handbook for operation. Both FAA required documents.
If anyone can answer these question I would be most appreciative.
