replacement tail for C206
I am considering the purchase of an early (1964) C206 that has had the tail replaced with a larger one from a C210. The owner says that it is routinely done in Alaska. Does anyone know of an STC that covers this installation. Apparently it fits directly but there is no paperwork to cover the swap. There has been a new weight and balance performed.
Anyone know of an STC?

Beware!! Just because someone says "that it is routinely done in Alaska", does not make it legal. If there is no paper trail or log book signatures then you might be the owner of an airplane that might not be legal to fly.
I had a situation with my aircraft, because of a lack of logbook entry. that cause me not to be able to fly it for 90 days after I had bought it. I had to work very hard to get my situation taken care of.
