182 Child seat

I have a child seat for a 182 that allows two children to sit in the cargo area in the rear of the cabin.
Removed from a 1960's era 182. Complete with mounting brackets and seat belts.

How much for the seats? Will they fit 1976 182? Is it legal to fly with more than 4 on the 182?

the seat is worth $600. It will fit your aircraft if you have a flat rear bulkhead to attach the seat back to.

Otherwise you will need to make up something to attach the seat back to because its a separate part. The seat is a bench with seatbelts and a backrest that uses snaps (like on a boat cover) to attach to the rear bulkhead.

Well, yes you can fly a 182 with two kids on this seat as long as they don't exceed the maximum weight for that area which is 200 lbs. This seat only weighs about ten pounds. Just check the POH, it should show 'optional child seat' in the luggage compartment.

it may vary for different models...
Im pretty sure the weight limit in the baggage area of my 182 is 120 lbs.
