Trimble TNL 2000a update

Just bouhgt a 172 and it has a Trimble TNL 2000a. It has not be updated for years and was wondering if anybody have a relatively new(within the last yeard) update card?

The Trimble units are now known as FreeFlight. You can order a one time update, cost is about $175.00. They do require to return the old card. Yours should be a DTRM1202, but give Jeppesen the model number of your GPS to make sure this is what you need. Also that number should be on your current data card also. Ask when the next newest card come out and order that one, as they are updated every 28 days.

We have a similar problem with a Trimble/Navigation panel mount unit.

TNL 2000T model; after power-up, and a display of .....235 ( guess that is a s/w rev. )., we are prompted for a code entry,

Any suggestions ?

It's tough navigating with VOR only.

The Safeguard Code, was a safety feature that Trimble tried but soon realized its downfall. There is a factory Default that works with about 90 Percent of the untis which is MGUA. Give it a try, and once your in you can disable the safeguard feature.
