I have a child seat in my 150-J. It doesn't affect the W&B any differently that some baggage in the same spot would. The W&B tables in my owner's manual have the child seat in them, I'm sure your manual does too. I use mine a lot for my 50-lb kid, and it hasn't affected the plane negatively at all. Make sure you have the right seat belt for the child seat, there's an AD for the seatbelt that says the old friction-lock is not good enough, you have to have a buckle w/ metal-to-metal fastening.
