Baffle seal for older 172
The baffle seal on a 1956 172 that I maintain is getting pretty tattered. The replacement from Cessna is quite pricey (surprise!)
Is there another source for this item or another method of accomplishing the sealing?

Phil, Aviall and other suppliers stock red silicone rubber, which is excellent, get the one with reinforcing in it. You can pop rivet it on with large headed pops. And its important to get the seals lapped correctly with regard to airflow. safe travels.
