Oil Screen Crush Gasket Leak
Oil Screen Crush Gasket Leak
The oil screen housing on my 0-200 engine seeps oil even after both the large and small copper crush gaskets were replaced. The oil appears to be coming from the area around the larger gasket. Can sealant, in combination with the crush gasket be use?
Thanks

Re: Oil Screen Crush Gasket Leak
I have worked in five different shops across the country and they all installed the crush gaskets the same way. open side of crush gasket towards the non rotating side.(engine) and tighten to half the thickness of the washer. So far I have never had one leak.
