My newly purchased 1976 182 makes a Click - Click sound coming from the cowl with the engine off and the Master on.
Since this airplane does not have fuel pumps, I really wonder what is making the noise.
A mechanic suggested is an automatic fuel priming system (maybe from the Autofuel STC, i have no clue), but that doesnt sound right. One thing for sure, Ive never had to use the primer to start the engine.
Any ideas where this click - click - click comes from, and what its doing?

perhaps it's a pre oiler
