Cessna 337 Mechanic
Re: Cessna 337 Mechanic
Lynn,
My suggestion would be Able Air at Whiteman. They are really good people to work with and know all the cessna lines.
We are looking at a 337 - our fist "multi", but have heard so much bad hipe that we are kind of leary. How has your experience been this bird ??
Thanks,
John :-)
Re: Cessna 337 Mechanic
Thanks for the mechanic name.
I am currently having an annual done at Orion Aviation in Carlsbad at Palomar Airport.
The mech/AI used to work for Riley when they were doing Skymaster mods.
Regarding the Skymaster, it is a lot of airplane for your buck. Easy to fly, no hidden quirks and relatively few ADs.
I am a CFI,II and a retired Airline pilot and give checkouts and currency in Skymasters as well as other high performance twins and singles.
The extra fuel and maint cost is really worth it if you're flying in and out of congested areas like Los Angeles especially IFR with so few open spaces to make emergency landings.
The landing gear (the same as the C-210 got a bad reputation with
a lot of early poor maintainence but there have been almost no problems recently.
If you have any questions, I'll be glad to talk to you.
