Faded Lettering on 67 Skylane

Faded Lettering on 67 Skylane

We own a 1967 Skylane that has had little refurbishment. The lettering on the panel for the landing lights, strobe, beacon, fuses, etc, is so faded that it is getting very hard to read. Does anyoneknow of where I might be able to find a replacement panel or at least give advice on how to refurbish the existing panel? The panel is about 3-1/2" tall and about 20" wide and sits just below the pilot side yoke.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If the lettering that you're referring to is slightly recessed and formerly white letters. They might just be dirty and possible
cleaned with a mild detergent and a cloth. If they are recessed
and don't want to clean up. You might try painting the recesses
with "White out" or something and wipe off any that goes "outside the lines".
I've seen decal/sticker kits made for model specific planes. There will be more stickers than you can use, as they cover just about every
possible accessory/instrument/device you could have on your plane...and then some. (ie: COM 1, COM 2, NAV 1 NAV 2, MASTER, LANDING, TAXI...and on and on...

That may be much cheaper than replacing the panel

i love the white-out idea (never heard of using it that way) sanford makes fine point pens in every color (including white) you can coppy the indentations with them another way is a brother lable maker a cheap model can be found at like best buy or such stores (thats what i use) then you have a tool you can use for other needs

I was at "planeplastics" site.
They have a decal set for just about any given model of plane.
It looked pretty comprehensive. It has the required WARNING decals regarding fuel and seat locks, etc... and would likely have decals you probably wouldn't even need.....$70
