GPS antenna,& h/h radio antenna

I have a Garmin GPS 92 that works off of batteries. I would like to
install an antenna and power it off of ship power. My plane is 24v,
and the gps is 12v. I also have a hand held icom IC-A4 that I would like to be able to use if my VHF radio went south. I would
need a switcher to feed from the vhf antenna and a means of using ship power to operate. Any suggestions,opinions,information
would be helpful. I really don't know if all this is feasible. Thanks

The GPS unit will be able to work directly off your ships power. Check out the manual and you will find it can work with voltages up to 36 V DC.

As for your H/H unit, there you wil need to drop the voltage to 12 or 13.5 V DC. This can be done very easy by installing a small box with a Voltage Regulator (VR). I hat to say this but ... go to Radio Shack and look for a 12 V DC Regulator and install it in a project box. Mount the VR on the Aluminum lid of the box for heat disapation. You may also want to add a 1000 uF Electrolitic Capacitor on the output side of the VR. This is for noise filtering.
