You didn't say where you will be flying from but no matter, I would suggest you plan to get here before noon. The winds tend to get real choppy due to thermal convection around that time. Outside of that its a nice runway and the tower is usually courteous. Do your normal approach procedures and call in at 10-15 out. If your coming from the north or south you will likely get a straight in. If from the east they will likely have you cross over midfield to downwind left or right. Same with approach from west (except for the cross midfield part). Stay between the the smokestacks and the river (lots of room). Piece of cake. Enjoy your stay! Caution in the casinos. Be sure to stash some cash for fuel home.

An associate asked me to try and get good ticket rates to fly to Laughlin, NV.  I'm having a hard time finding an airline that flies into that airport.  What would you suggest?  I'm not familiar with that area so any help about nearest city and/or best airline from Raleigh/Durham airport in North Carolina?
