Here I am sitting in my hotel room at the Wichita airport. I flew in from Des Moines, IA today in 3.5 hours. I had a 20 mph tail wind the whole trip, it was great.

Departing Des Moines I climbed on top of the 3000' broken layer and sailed all the way here at 6500'. The air was incredibly smooth the whole way.

Tonight at the welcome reception I met a number of really nice folks and the president of Cessna joined us at our table for short while. I was neat to be able to talk with him and here what he had to say.

Cessna, Beech and Stearman were all founded here in Wichita, anyone know why?

I am looking forward to the seminars tomorrow and Sunday. It looks like the weather may not cooperate on Monday for my flight home, I may not be able to make it all the way back. I may have to stop in Olathe, KS and spend the night. I have family there so that works out well for me.
