Taos, New Mexico offers some of the best skiing in the country.  There are about 5 ski areas close with easy access to all.  Enterprise rent a car has cars at the airport or will leave one there for you.  Day/nite life is outstanding with more than 80 art galleries, open studios where you can watch the artists work and 50 restuarants.  There is quite a bit going on every nigth of the week.  The Fechin Inn will give pilots a discount.  I paid $50/night for a really upscale room.  Gas is not cheap but self-serve was about $3.00.  Great Airport staff...everyone willing to help you out.
