RF connector for RT328

RF connector for RT328

I purchased a Cessna radio (RT328) to use as a monitor receiver at our hangar (to listen in on the local unicom and atc freqs). I have it wired up for power, ground and amplified audio out. We have a VHF (118 to 136mhz ground plane antenna on the hangar roof; however, I need to be able to fabricate a coaxial cable from the antenna (with a female version of the PL259 connector) to the radio. Radio did not have a tray so all I have is what appears to be a straight, slide on connector. The VOR side has a similar connector but it was flared out for a TED(?) connector.

Can anyone help me with the RF connector needed to build the cable?

Re: RF connector for RT328

I managed to get a "tray" connector from Pacific Avionics that will plug into the RT-328. The darn little buggers are expensive though - $20.00. It is indeed a TED connector under part number 9-30-10. You will have to solder it onto the RG-58 (or whatever you use) coax, but it should solve your problems.
