Re: 1956 C172 180 hp STC
Howdy all I have a 1958 c-172. I want to fly out of terribly high altitudes full of camping stuff, 180hp would do. I have the 0-300 off and being overhauled with new cyls maybe someone would trade me for a used 180 hp and maybe an Idea whose stc to use for this year model. If not Ill use my own car conversion and go for my own stc on something of higher Hp! thanx Rogers!
Re: 1956 C172 180 hp STC
Does anyone have a copy of Supplemental Type Certificate SA792WE? I'd like to review the STC because my friend is considering the modification to his 1956 172.

Re: 1956 C172 180 hp STC
I recently purchased a 1962 Cessna P172D which was retrofitted in 1977 with a 180 Lycoming 0-360-A1A 180 h.p engine and Hartzell HC-C2YK-1A propellor.
This engine is running great, but is nearing its 2,000 hour TBO and I want to replace it with one that has fuel injection rather than the carburetor system.
Is there an STC for such an engine?
Does does the existing STC allow a conversion to fuel injection with the present engine?
thank you.

Do you have the serial number for the plane? The book breaks it up by serial number.
