Ok, here's my vote for some good flying destinations:

Brenham Municipal Airport (11R) - They have a 50's diner with authentic decor and really good food.  A quarter gets you three songs on the jukebox and the chocolate shake is absolutely great!  Nice runway with adequate parking, but beware, on beautiful days it can still fill up.

Llano Municipal Airport (6R9) - No food on the field, but Coopers Bar-B-Que is just a few miles down the road.  There is a courtesy car at the airport and Coopers even keeps a shuttle van on the field during the weekends.  You have to experience Coopers to appreciate it.  I searched and searched the dictionary for the right words to describe how good it is - I just couldn't find anything that comes close.  As a bonus, Llano has some of the cheapest fuel prices in the area!
