Engine Stand
<HTML>Im in the midst of preparations to Ovehaul my 0-200A,I have my A&P all lined up,and am now in the process of readying the shop for the engine.I noticed in the Wag-Aero catalog, and engine stand for 165.00.It looks relatively simple, and Im curious if anyone out there has fabricated one themselves.
If I could get the Crankshaft Flange dimensions,I could make one myself, and thoughts on the matter will be appreciated....</HTML>
Re: Engine Stand
<HTML>George ,
Thanks for the information on the engine stand,Concerning the Starter Drive oiling,I remember when I recieved the Started Clutch, some paperwork enclosed with it with instructions as to what to have done,IF I remember correctly,it was an approved modification.
The nice folks at COO called me today, and advised that there is an STC holder for this modification, and the STC number is SE01592AT.I plan to investigate as soon as possible....Thanks!

Re: Engine Stand
<HTML>Alan
I have a Franklin powered C-175, the engine in it was way past TBO so I put a new Franklin in it and will put the old one (after overhaul) in a RV-7 I am building. The new Franklins are minus most accessories so I made two engine stands so I could swap parts around before installation. I made them fairly large so I would have a place for tools on them and also be stable. I put wheels on one and not the other. The one with the wheels was the most convienent. I put locks on it so I could keep it from rolling but never had a problem and did not need them. I removed the prop and made a template off the crankshaft.
