I am the Maintenance co-ordinator for a flying club that has a 1965 C-182H. We have several members who have expressed the feeling that our airplane is "heavy" when it is sitting on the ramp. This is compounded by the fact that the aircraft has the long range tanks, which we usually only fule to a total of 60 gals. usable.

I would like to hear from some other C-182 owners as to what your aircraft weighs BEFORE fuel and cabin load. The H model has a GW of 2800 lbs. and we find that if we put even just 60 gals of fuel on, that it is no longer a 4 place airplane in reality.

Please let me know if this is the case for you or if our airplane is really "heavy" on the ramp. (1860 E.W.)
