172N constant speed prop stc O-320 H2AD

Has anyone ever installed a constant speed prop on a O 320 H2AD in a 172N? stc info?

Dave, try http://www.mt-propeller.com they aoppear to have one. From what I've read, these composite propellers are light, so you may not be adding that much weight. I have a standard 172N, and another with the Penn Yan 180 hp conversion. It sure is smooth, and the pitch seems to be very well selected for the compromise between T/O, climb and cruise. Let us know if you do a conversion.

Thanks for the tip Don; but unfortunatly MT only has a prop for 172's with the 180hp conversion.

a couple of things to think about before buying a new prop.
do you have a hollow crankshaft?
is there a provision for mounting the prop governor to the engine and is the engine oil system capable of delivering oil under pressure to the prop governor and then on to the prop??

I am not familiar with this engine model but my guess(which are at times incorrect) is no to all the above questions.

Mark, Everything to mount a governor is on the case, the crankshaft is what I don't no about, might be a good canidate for an MT?

You are partially correct, I see MT USA has the O360, while MT Germany lists the O320. Let me know what you find out, I'm interested in both. Don
