If you are a current AV100 or AV200 WSI customer (inflight weather), you need to read the latest email WSI just sent.

I called and talked to "Matt" and Bruce Cady at WSI and they confirmed my fears.

The current signal is going to be dropped in Spring of 2007.  This date was given by Matt in customer service.  The reason is WSI is coming out with the AV300 and the signal will be from Sirius satellite radio.  When this product comes online they are going to turn off the old (current) signal that our AV100 and AV200 units use.  This means you have to go to the AV300 or you will not get weather (FIS) anymore.

You might ask, what do I get with the AV300?  Only difference is satellite music.  Cost is $1500 for the AV300 and this does NOT include INSTALLATION.  I don't know about you, but I don't think it is worth it to "upgrade."
