Well.... I am a propane dealer. I can tell you that in the unlikely event that the pressure inside the bottle rises above normal there is a "pop-off" valve that will vent any excessive pressure from the bottle. So there is little chance that the bottle will blow a hole in the side of your plane. If the pop-off did blow it would potentially fill the cabin with propane vapor which could pose a whole different threat. I think there is very little chance of this happening but the pop-off will vent well before the bottle bursts.
