Custom panel overlay

We have just purchased a 1964 182. It has fresh imron paint and custom leather interior....the only problem is the panel...IT IS UGLY!!!. The plastic overlays have been removed. We are wondering if anyone knows who manufactures custom panels. We are not looking for the stock plastic. We are in California (KAJO), a local shop would be great but any would help.

Hi Glenn;

I know that Advantage Avionics does custom panels. They are based at Chino airport, and are affiliated with Aircraft Spruce (www.aircraftspruce.com). I think the person to contact is Mark.

Take a look at Avion Research (http://www.avion.com). They provide custom instrument panels as well as switch panel overlays and other cool items for Cessna’s. The company is located in central California. Hope this helps.
