A Malfunction or Defect Report stated that the throttle control lever (P/N 646224A) wore out at a bolt hole and caused the throttle cable to come free. According to the submitter, the pressed in bushing at the end of the throttle arm failed.
Note: Normally, there is no rotation of this part if the ball joint is properly maintained.
