Storm damage prompted the mechanic in the previous discrepancy to inspect this aircraft: again a “flat spot” was found on the aileron crossover cable. As above, the wear position corresponds to the abrasion strip attached to a rib assembly at wing station 71.19. This cable was also beginning to fray.
