Bose Aviation Series II Mic

Wanted: Bose Microphone

Hi, I am looking for a Bose series II replacement Mic and can't locate one and Bose doesn't support series I or series II headsets from what I have been told (correct me if wrong, but this statement was from a Bose Rep), this is the main reason I won't spend $$$ to acquire a bose X since I don't think a product of this price should be abandoned (support and parts) when under 7 years old. If anyone knows of a supplier for parts this would be highly appreciated.

I too have a need to replace my series II boom mike. It is broken where it connects to the headset. Does anyone know where to purchase just the boom microphone?

Bose still sells the ear cushions and the microphones, as of 11-30-2008. The electret mic looks like a "modern" mic, and the dynamic is the larger "old style" round one. Here is the reply I got to my inquiry:

Dear Mr. Frank,

We do have the ear cushions and boom microphones available. Do you need the high impedance, electret microphone or the low impedance, dynamic microphone?
