MArk 12's are no loger supported by narco and very few shops can work on them anymore and the ones that do, really charge you for it. Im a avionics tech in Lincoln CA and have installed and removed a lot of equipment. Narcos are a horrible investment and are very unrealiable. You Would be better off buying a Garmin SL 30 Nav com. Its not extreamly exspensive and they will last forever. Not to mention they are small so it saves space in your stack for other upgrades.


Pilots often try to get a cheap used radio  thinking they are saving money but when they brake every 60-90 days and spend a min of $1000 Repairing them you end up spending the same.

Todd, please pardon my barging in here, but I think you may be able help me a little if you don't mind.  I've been given an old Mark 12B that I'd like to set up as the ground end of an air-to-ground intercom.  I need the wiring info to the power supply and how to get 12V to the power supply.  I'd also like to confirm that the audio out of the Mk12 will drive a speaker directly.  Thanks for whatever assistance you can provide.
