Wheel pants and fittings
Wheel pants and fittings
I have a complete set of newer model (1970 and newer) C150 wheel pants and fittings that I will trade for a set that will fit a 1967 model C150. The new ones fit but just don'tlook right on my airplane. These are the rounded look and I need the pointed wheel pants.
I have photos if you want to see them. Thanks

Re: Wheel pants and fittings
I live in Granbury Texas, 35sm SW of Ft Worth. I have a 1966 C150 with the long pointed wheel pants in good condition. I have been looking for the shorter ones. If you still have the short ones and want to trade, let me know. I just joined the Cessna Owners Org.and am looking forward to meeting other C150 owners in Texas.

my cell number is 817-915-4842. I removed the wheel pants (don't like the long style). They were painted two years ago when the airplane was repainted so they would need to be repainted to match your aircraft. The main gear ones are excellent and the nose is good. There is a blemish about the size of a nickel that would have to be filled, tow bar feel on it and chiped it.I will have to remove the plates if you are interested. Thanks for your response.

Re: Wheel pants and fittings
Bill,
I answered at your email address. I too, will have to remove the plates but that will give me a chance to repack my wheel bearings while I am at it. I sent you a photo. Let me know if you need more as I have the wheel pants here at home and can get some close ups if you like. Thanks!

Re: Wheel pants and fittings
Bill,
It was good talking to you. I look forward to meeting you and your wife soon. Sandy and I will buy lunch and we can talk Cessnas. I am having my annual done tomorrow but it shouldn't take long with all the work I have done on my plane recently and I know all my AD's are current. I'll have them take the plates off while they have the wheels off for inspection so I will have the entire set here when you arrive.
Take care and fly safe,
Reece
Re: Wheel pants and fittings
Sarge,
Thanks. You would not believe what they are finding on my annual. I don't think this little plane has had a real inspection in years but I will feel safer when it is all fixed properly. Of course, I will be a lot poorer also :-)
I have the wheel pants and plates here at the house so just let me know what day will work for you.
