I am trying to find out if the new SVT upgrade for the Garmin G1000 is going to be backward compatible.  I own a 2005 182T.  I've performed all G1000 software upgrades and additions.  The only thing my aircraft does not have is the integrated autopilot and flight director.  I called both Cessna and Garmin about getting the synthetic vision upgrade for my plane and no body could give me an answer.  All they did say was that the upgrade will be available in Q1 of '09.  Does anyone know if this upgrade will be applicable to all G1000 equipped aircraft?
