WING LEVELER
WING LEVELER
I have a 78 Cessna 172N. Want to add a wing leveler (minimum) or an AP of some type. ALSO would like to get my Lowrance 2000 panel mounted. Can anyone recommend a good avionics shop that won't rip my head off, yet does good work.
I am in the DFW area, but am willing to fly to a good shop.
I also want to get the Loran removed.
Thanks
Rick
Re: WING LEVELER
Hi Rick;
I also have a 1978 C-172N and would like to put a Navomatic 300A in it. However, when I looked into the installation cost, I discovered that it would require making some significant modifications to the wing to install the servo unit, not to mention the cost of installing the instruments and connections to the VOR indicators. I would be very interested in hearing what kind of estimates you get for installing a system in your aircraft, as I am probably looking at the same costs.
Thanks
Jon
Re: WING LEVELER
Hi Rick;
As a follow up to my message above, I may have a Navomatic 300A unit for sale if you are interested. I got it from a guy that removed it from his C-182 in working order. I don't know if I can afford the cost to install it in my 172. I have the computer, the servo, and the turn coordinator. Needs the DG to complete it. Let me know if you are interested.

Re: WING LEVELER
Hi Adam;
I'll let you know. I am trying to get a cost estimate to do the wing modifications and installation. If it is more than I can afford, I'll have to stick with the auto pilot I have (my wife holding the control wheel while I dig through my flight bag).

Re: WING LEVELER
I have an original (still in the box) Aeortrim for a Cessna. I bought it for my 172 and sold the airplane and kept the Aerotrim. Later I bought a C-182 and it already had an Aerotrim installed. So this one is for sale.
Make an offer.... You can reach me at

Re: WING LEVELER
There is no substitute for AEROTRIM products, dont settle for substandard copies w/out stc pma approval. AEROTRIMINC.com for aileron/rudder trim tab controls and wet wing sealant;AEROSEAL
and AEROTRIM products carry the largest number of stc's and are the only FAA approved repair station for AEROTRIM products
