Per the manual, the paper element should be visually checked every 50 hours and cleaned if necessary. Most airplanes now have Brackett elements which cannot be cleaned. Brackett has a bulletin that mandates replacement every Annual. Next to oil changes, the cleanliness of your induction filter determines the longevity of an engine...
