182RG Gear and Flap Warning horn issue
I am working a gear warning horn problem on a 182RG, and the issue is that the warning horn for the flap AND throttle is inop. With the AC on jacks, and during the gear swings, I cant seem to get an aural warning in either flap or throttle configuration. I have tested the stall warning, and it is functioning, with an aural warning coming from the cabin speaker, but cant get the flap/throttle warning horn to sound. I have checked the rig on both the throttle and flap lever microswitches, and they are rigged correctly.
Any ideas?
Re: 182RG Gear and Flap Warning horn issue
Just a shot in the dark, it has been a while since I worked an RG, There is a dual warning box (per the schematic) and that was my first thought. I do not see if or where the flap system would or could be wired into that. The dual warning box is for the gear and the stall horn and you verified that the stall horn works. I would think that somehow the engineering staff at Cessna could have wired it all together. I do have a hot line number to the Cessna reps and would be glad to provide it to you via email if it would help.... Only if you promise, under severe torture, that you don't tell them where you got it from.
