Vapor Lock-Turbo 206
<HTML>I am in SOCAL. An info anyone can share on my 1999 T206H recently developing a dislike for hot temps on the ground appreciated. Been developing vapor lock, surging engine then fading after landing- touch and go's no way, need to run the fuel pump to keep the plane going on the ground. Got 400 hours on it, been regularly serviced at Cessna shop, unable to explain why just starting to do this now. Thanks.</HTML>
Re: Vapor Lock-Turbo 206
<HTML>A couple of things come to mind...
1) I'd check to make sure all the fuel fittings are tight. A loose fitting may allow to suck air but not necessarily leak fuel.
2) It's also bloody hot out. Does it always vapor lock? Even on those 6am flyin breakfast mornings???
Cheers,
RH</HTML>
Re: Vapor Lock-Turbo 206
<HTML>I can still do touch and goes, although while lying in bed at night I have worried about this.
My 2000 T206H does the same thing if it's more than about 75F outside after a flight, I just turn on the fuel pump. I've also wondered if it's normal.</HTML>
