S-Tec 50 Installation Manual
S-Tec 50 Installation Manual
HELP. I am replacing an hold inoperative autopilot with an S-tec 50 in great condition. BUT, it does not have an installation manual. I've checked with S-tec and a multitude of avionics shops. No luck.
Does anyone have an S-Tec 50 installation manual they can loan, rent, or copy to me. Without the manual, this is just an expensive paperweight.
THANKS!
Re: S-Tec 50 Installation Manual
Looks like esco has them for $130.00. Ouch! I just need to look at how to hook up DG for heading mode. Want to share cost?

Re: S-Tec 50 Installation Manual
Actually there is not one install manual, there is one for each airframe. S-tec will not support the installation of used autopilots. You need the specific brackets and hardware for each airframe, as well as the specific install manual. Torque settings vary as do cable tensions. You need to have the proper spring washers and spacers. The only way it might get done is if you go to an s-tec dealer.
Sorry... just the facts of life.
Happy flying.
