Firewall mounted battery
Firewall mounted battery
Has anyone converted their battery location to the firewall using Burls Aircraft battery tray and the Odyssey SBS J-16 gelcell battery, or equivalent. I have a '58 182 that I am doing the tailwheel conversions on and want to make this change to accomodate a baggage compartment extension among other improvements. Specifically is the Odyssey gelcel battery up to the requirements of cranking a 0-470, etc.
