182RG Charging/Overvoltage Problem

182RG Charging/Overvoltage Problem

Our 182RG has a nagging charging voltage problem. We consistently read 28.6 volts on a digital voltmeter and a slight constant charge on the ammeter. We have replaced all the ground wires, alternator control unit, circuit breakers, battery....etc. to no avail. We have to constantly check the battery to make sure it is not evaporating electrolyte (which it does) to prevent overheating and electrical failure. Anyone seen this or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice...
