Parmetheus™ Series LED Landing & Taxi Lights STC’d from Whelen Engineering


CHESTER, CONNECTICUT, October 07, 2010 – Whelen Engineering Co. has received STC approval for their Parmetheus™ Series LED Landing & Taxi lights, a first for General Aviation aircraft.


The LED as a light source is revolutionizing aviation lighting. It represents many improvements over existing light sources. Long Life, vibration resistance, low current draw, no EMI/RFI emissions, & no external power modules, are just a few of the advantages.


This STC approval will allow replacement of existing incandescent, halogen and High Intensity Discharge, (HID), lights without aircraft modification or the need for field approvals.
