An Aviation Pioneer and Founder of RAM Aircraft has Passed
Jack M. Riley Jr., (July 19, 1941 - November 16, 2010) a pioneer in aviation and founder of RAM Aircraft, LP, an aircraft engine overhaul facility and general aviation support center located in Waco, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 16. He was 69.
Jack was born in Shreveport, LA. to Jack and Georgia Nell Riley. He was a graduate of Northrop University with a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
His life revolved around his family and aviation. His career was devoted to innovation and advancement in the field of aviation. He founded RAM Aircraft in 1976 and it grew to be a successful world renowned company and leader in general aviation. Jack was a remarkable entrepreneur and good man. He knew general aviation from the ground up. Jack was not just a beloved husband, and father, but also a mentor and friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years, Toni Riley; son, John Riley of Austin; daughter, Mary Katherine Riley of Fort Worth; and brother, Pat Riley and wife, Alexis, of San Diego.
