182RG - REAR SEATS

I am looking into a Turbo 182RG and have a question about he rear seats. I am wondering if the rear seats are removable. I currently fly a Cherokee and the rear seats just pop in and out. I usually fly with just 2 people so it is convenient to have the rear seats out when we travel with our dogs.

I have a 1978 182RG and have been through 2 annuals so I am familiar with the seats. The rear seat is held in with 5 bolts. Four in the corners and one in front in the center. It is possible to remove the seat by removing the bolts, but it is not a simple process and you might also need to remove the front seats to get enough clearance to pull the back seat out. I don't know if there is any FAA restriction for operating a 182RG without a back seat installed. Hope this helps.
