Go to the U-Tube link (above), or to our face book page (identified below) to listen to key sections of the 03/29/2011 Huron County Commissioners meeting, regarding the Huron County Airport (5A1 - North Central Ohio). Listen to the Commissioners discuss dissolving the HC airport board (contrary to the scope of the commissioner's authority). We have another airport under attack. This time it's because there is a drag strip adjacent to the airport, and the raceway owner wants the property!!! The commissioners are poised but they have to get FAA authority to close the airport on 5 different occassions this summer to help the raceway exit their traffic (right on the runway). They'll take care of the temporary closures first and then concentrate on trying to sell the airport afterwards. We need your support to help us keep this airport open and operational. Listen to the conversations and judge the character of the politicians for yourself. Spread the word, and help us out.

Keep an eye on our plight. Stay updated on our Face book page. YOUR Airport may be next on the chopping block. We all need to work together on these issues. Our strength is in our numbers and unity. Your support would be be greatly appreciated... We need to put pressure to bear on the FAA, US Congressman Bob Latta, US Senators Rob Portman, Sherrod Brown, and any other US Congressman/US Senators who have oversight over the Dept of Transportation, and the FAA. We need to force the FAA to carry out its mandate in support of aviation. We need to stop the potential sale of this federally obligated airport.
