Well it's finally time for me to remove my trusty Northstar M1 Loran.  I have a 6.25" X 2" hole in my panel to fill and I was all set to install the Garmin GNC250XL and now I find out it's discontinued.  So I'm looking for advice for a panel mounted VFR GPS to fill the hole.  If this can't be done then a recommendation for a COM that would fill those dimensions.  In searching the internet there still are some Garmin GNC250XLs to be had but would you suggest that?
