Converting one time STC to a multiple
Converting one time STC to a multiple
Hi everyone,
Need a bit of help here, I have a one time STC to modify the flight controls and panel for a 1956 C-172 where I did all the work and fought my way through the FAA to get the STC and reissue of the Airworthiness Cetificate. I would like to find out if I can make this into a multiple certificate and utilize it other early Cessnas that could benefit fromt this work. I have the extensive documentation and inspection records on file and can produce electronic scanned copies of all the documents. I am looking for a good 1956 C-172 to buy and modify and then add the O-360 and prop conversion-should be a great plane once totally built out with new paint and interior. If you can advise on any of this please let me know.

To my understanding, it will depend on the STC and if it was approved for multiple aircraft or not. Generally, it is a 1 plane per STC kind of deal. Here is something I found on the FAA website that might help clarify it for you:
