Converting one time STC to a multiple

Converting one time STC to a multiple

Hi everyone,
Need a bit of help here, I have a one time STC to modify the flight controls and panel for a 1956 C-172 where I did all the work and fought my way through the FAA to get the STC and reissue of the Airworthiness Cetificate.  I would like to find out if I can make this into a multiple certificate and utilize it other early Cessnas that could benefit fromt this work.  I have the extensive documentation and inspection records on file and can produce electronic scanned copies of all the documents.  I am looking for a good 1956 C-172 to buy and modify and then add the O-360 and prop conversion-should be a great plane once totally built out with new paint and interior.  If you can advise on any of this please let me know.

Thanks,
Jerry Lane

Re: Converting one time STC to a multiple

To my understanding, it will depend on the STC and if it was approved for multiple aircraft or not.  Generally, it is a 1 plane per STC kind of deal.  Here is something I found on the FAA website that might help clarify it for you:
