SANDIA aerospace Introduces Transponder

July 22, 2010 Oshkosh, WI, SANDIA Aerospace, an Albuquerque based avionics
manufacturer has announce a new Mode C Transponder with built-in encoder. The small
and light weight STX 165 sports a ½ 3ATI front bezel and measures approximately 7”
inches behind the panel depth. The small panel space requirement allows the STX 165 to
be mounted outside of the center stack, reserving that space for other avionics. In
addition to displaying transponder code, the STX 165 also displays Pressure Altitude,
Three timer functions and with the addition of an optional OAT Probe, Outside Air
Temperature, Density Altitude and even an icing alert. The STX 165 has an introductory
list price of $1700.
Sandia is also introducing a remote version, the STX165R. The STX165R is ideal for
interface to onboard Nav Management systems and for use UAV applications.
