Vibration
<HTML>Have recently noticed nose gear/wheel vibration on take-off at about 50-55mph.
Have not noticed the same on landing or any shimmy when landing. Any thoughts
?</HTML>

<HTML>bet its time for a new shimmey damper and also check the steering rods .
on our 172M (1976) the steering rods are spring loaded and both were shot .
with the springs collapsed the rods had about an inch play before the
nose wheel would respond to inputs from the rudder pedals .so if you have
a couple thousand hours on it I bet thats your problem .
No more vibration .</HTML>

<HTML>Had the same trouble on my B model. Cured it by rebuilding the shimmy damper and shimming up the Scissors so there was no play.</HTML>
