master orfice tool t.c.m.p/n646953 cyl.leak check
Re: master orfice tool t.c.m.p/n646953 cyl.leak check
<HTML>Don't worry about this. Any qualified A&P mechanic will own or have access to a calibrated differential compression test set (which is what that fancy name and part number is all about). The special attention given the "master" orifice tool is in relation to a special procedure undertaken when cylinders fall into the lower regimes of acceptable compression. It's another case of "Measure it with a micrometer, ...next mark it with a grease pencil, ...then cut it with a hatchet" mentality. ;Þ</HTML>

<HTML>George; Thanks for the info. I figured as much. while i'm not a hardcore 65/80 advocate. I do enough differential leak checks to cause. me to want to be on top of any changes in the procedure. I hav'nt read any service bulletins from T.C.M.on this subject either. Best Regards Willy Owens.</HTML>
